Rules

General

• It is expected that all visitors behave in a courteous and considerate manner at all times with due care for the environment.

• Gates must kept closed at all times.

• Absolutely no litter to be left on the bank or surrounding areas.

• No open fires.

• BBQ's welcome but must be "off the ground" to avoid scorching the grass.

• No swimming.

• No loud music.

• Well behaved dogs are welcome with usual clean up requirements and must stay in the owners swim.

• Well behaved guests welcome,,,,,,see point above.

• Any damage, cause for concern, poor behaviour, suspicious activity to be reported to the bailiff as soon as possible.

• The lake may need to be closed or partially closed to accommodate spawning/maintenance or other activity from time to time, this will be for minimum duration and will be notified on the website and Facebook page, gates will also be locked if appropriate.

Tackle/Fish Care

• The care and welfare of the fish is a priority.

• Maximum of 3 rods fishing per person.

• Anglers must be in possession of appropriate rod licences.

• No rods to be left fishing unattended, this is a risk to fish safety.

• All anglers must be equipped with: suitable size soft mesh landing net, large unhooking mat with sides or cradle, carp care gel.

• Barbless or micro barb hooks only, no bent hook rigs.

• All rigs must be fish safe, the lead must come off the line in the event of a line break to prevent fish getting tethered.

• No leadcore leaders.

• No braided mainline.

• The preferred option is nylon or flurocarbon mainline with plastic tubing,

• Braided/hybrid hooklinks are permitted

• No keepnets.

• Fish may be placed in a suitable vented carpsack or float cradle while camera equipment is set up but no sacking for extended periods.

 Summary

It is expected that all anglers exhibit high standards of behaviour and common sense, rules are minimal but are in place to protect the fish, the environment and other anglers, rule breakers will be asked to leave.....
